A hybrid Porsche 911, with its gas engine assisted by at least one battery-powered electric motor, will officially be revealed in an online event on May 28. Porsche itself already sells plug-in hybrid models like the Cayenne e-Hybrid SUV and Panamera e-Hybrid four-door car but a hybrid 911 is another matter. This new hybrid model will be the closest Porsche can get to an electric 911 without raising those sorts of philosophical questions. But we do know the hybrid 911 is clearly faster than the current purely gas-powered 911. The faster time indicates the hybrid 911 has greater power due to the addition of electric assistance.

The company had stopped testing last October following an incident in San Francisco in which a pedestrian was badly injured. Last October, a Cruise self-driving car, with no one inside, hit a pedestrian after the person had first been struck by another vehicle. After striking the pedestrian, the Cruise vehicle attempted to pull off to the side of the road to avoid causing an obstruction. About two days later, Cruise announced it was halting all operations nationwide while it investigated the incident and the company’s response to it.

Trump, for having defied a subpoena from the Jan. 6 House select committee, a ruling that could lead to Mr. Bannon serving a four-month term in prison. The decision by the court means that Mr. Bannon could soon become the second former Trump aide to be jailed for ignoring a subpoena from the committee. The House panel sought his testimony as part of its wide-ranging investigation into Mr. Trump’s efforts to remain in power after losing the 2020 election, and its explosive hearings two years ago previewed much of the evidence used against Mr. Trump in a federal indictment filed last summer accusing him of plotting to overturn his defeat. Barclays sees a 70% chance of positive data emerging from an expanded Phase 1 study of RLY-2608 (+fulvestrant) in advanced HR+/HER2- breast cancer. That outcome, "all else equal, could potentially drive the stock up $5 while negative data could drive the stock down $2," the bank said.

In all, six of the top 10 most-stolen vehicles in America last year were Hyundai and Kia models. The list included the Kia Soul, Kia Forte, and Kia Sportage. Certain older Hyundai and Kia models made before 2023 are particularly vulnerable to car thieves. Hyundai and Kia operate as separate companies in the United States, but Hyundai Motor Group owns a large stake in Kia, and various Hyundai and Kia models share much of their engineering. More than 1.1 million Kia vehicles nationwide have had anti-theft software installed, according to Kia.

Now Netflix looks like it is close to a deal to stream two NFL games on Christmas Day, reports Puck's John Ourand, citing "a bevy of sources." Does that mean Netflix doesn't know how much it will pay for the games? The NFL declined to comment; Netflix didn't respond to a request for comment. If the deal does happen, it will be easy to step back and see how Netflix got there. The NFL now plans on releasing details about its upcoming schedule on May 15 — which also happens to be the day Netflix will host its "upfront" event in New York, catered to advertisers.
